About Me
I'm a computer engineer, and I've been building applied AI systems since 2021, when I made Toolongtoread.com, a text-summarisation site, on my own before large language models went mainstream. I studied Computer Engineering at Bahçeşehir University with a minor in Business Administration, interned at Testinium, GroupM and Halkbank, and spent 2023 at Riga Technical University working on deep learning for the Baxter robot.
From 2024 to 2025 I was part of Huawei's AI R&D team in Istanbul, working on computer vision and language models. Among the team projects were an ID-card verification system that the UAE government now uses and computer vision for traffic, fire and security monitoring at the Port of Athens. Since 2025 I've been an AI and software consultant at AkademiSa, taking early-stage startups from an idea to a working product.
On this site I write about AI, technology, history and economics, in English, Turkish and German. Outside work I volunteer with TOG and TEMA and make videos about software and AI on YouTube.
